PROGRAM DETAILS CU CHI TOUR HALF DAY DAY 

08h00 am: The car and guide will pick you up at SST Travel Office (57 Le Thi Hong Gam, Ward Nguyen Thai Binh,  District 1) or at the meeting point at hotels in the centre of District 1 to start the journey.

You depart to visit  Cu Chi Tunnels Relics - A very famous historical site about 70km northwest of the city centre named after Uncle. This is considered a very unique project with a system of tunnels over 250km long deep in the ground with many floors and nooks and crannies like spider webs.

10h00: You arrive to visit  Ben Dinh Tunnels - Base of the Party Committee and Command of the Saigon Military Zone - Cho Lon - Gia Dinh, which is a system of tunnels and tunnels where the soldiers used to live and fight. The State classified it as a National Historical and Cultural Monument during the war in 1979.

Starting the tour, you stop at Arms Gallery. Here, you will see the bombs and cannons of the US army used on the Cu Chi battlefield and the Cu Chi guerilla weapons used in the resistance war. In addition, visitors can also take pictures with tanks, planes and Guerilla Wartime models.

10h30: You move to Cinema Room. Here, you can watch a short documentary about the guerrilla war of local people, listen to an introduction about the history of the formation and development of the Cu Chi tunnel system and be briefly introduced by the guide. about the structure of the tunnel system in the ground through the Cross-section diagram of the tunnel.

10h45: Leaving the Cinema Room, you continue your journey to explore Ben Dinh Tunnels and stop to visit the highlights in the site of the relic site such as the Water Well 15m deep inside the tunnel, Picture ventilation hole page in the form of a termite mound, Secret hatch cover, Battle drive, Automatic bunker.

Experience tunnelling tunnels

Continue moving, the guide will take you to visit the tunnel system and experience the underground activity to discover "life in the ground". Here, you will set foot down to explore the unique and impressive tunnels such as Field Hospital, Meeting Room, Working Room, Rest Room, and Secretarial Room.

After the experience of tunnelling, you continue to move to visit Hoang Cam Kitchen. Here, you will witness with your own eyes a very creative invention in hiding the smoke of our soldiers at that time.

11h15: You stop to rest, wash your hands with a unique plumbing system and be "treated" with "cassava dipped in bean salt" - a dish of the old guerrillas that has now become a speciality.

Continue, the guide will take you to visit the Army sewing area – military uniform – beard sandals and  Engineering workshop area manufacturing homemade weapons, and sawing bombs. In addition, at the Engineer Workshop, you can also see with your own eyes the homemade weapons and traps displayed here.

Leaving the Engineer Workshop, you stop at the  Souvenir counter. Here, you will be free to visit and enjoy shopping for unique gifts made from bullet casings such as oil lamps, lighters, ballpoint pens, straps and lacquerware, high-class fine arts, rattan, bamboo and leaf products typical of traditional craft villages in Cu Chi.

11h45: Saying goodbye to the tunnels, you walk about 3-5 minutes to visit Ben Dinh Martyrs Memorial Temple - A historical and cultural work built on 70,000 square meters of land including many architectural items. Impressive architecture, including the largest set of ceramic paintings in Vietnam. This is a place for you to have moments of silence and burn incense to remember the heroes and martyrs who fought and sacrificed for the Fatherland in the old resistance war.

Continue the journey, you get in the car to the Defense sports shooting area. Here, you will have the opportunity to participate in the thrilling challenge with extremely interesting and attractive real-time shooting.

Leaving the Defense Sports Shooting Area, if time allows, the guide will take visitors to visit Liberation Zone - This is a work that recreates the historical periods from 1960 to 1975, showing the living and fighting scene of Cu Chi people before and during the resistance war against the US for national salvation.
