DETAILED ITINERARY: CU CHI TUNNELS EXPLORATION TOUR

This journey is the perfect combination of education and experience, taking visitors back in time to the heroic history of Vietnam.

07:30 – 08:30: Departure & Stories of the Past

SST Travel’s car and tour guide will pick you up at the meeting point in central Ho Chi Minh City. During the trip, the guide will share stories about the “Land of Steel,” helping you visualize the historical context before arriving at the site.

08:30 – 09:30: Documentary & Overview of the Tunnels

You will begin the journey by watching a short black-and-white documentary at the center. These precious historical clips about the resistance war and the Vietnamese revolution will help you understand why the Cu Chi Tunnels became legendary—an incredibly robust and ingenious defense system.

09:30 – 11:00: Experiencing the Tunnel System

This is the most important part of the tour, where you get to touch history directly:

Visit functional areas: Discover the command bunkers, field hospitals, and especially the Hoang Cam kitchen system—where our soldiers cooked without leaving smoke, successfully deceiving the enemy.
The Tunnel Challenge: Experience the feeling of crawling through narrow, winding tunnels deep underground. This is an opportunity for you to understand the harshness and the resilient spirit of the people of Cu Chi.

11:00 – 12:00: Local Specialties & Experiential Activities

After completing the challenge, you will have time to relax:

Taste Tapioca: Sample the rustic boiled tapioca with salted sesame—the “legendary” dish that sustained generations of soldiers during the difficult years of resistance.
Shooting Range (Optional): You are free to participate in a live-fire experience at the shooting range, trying out the feeling of using weapons famous from that era (expenses excluded).

12:00 – 14:00: Ending the Journey

The car will take you back to central Ho Chi Minh City, concluding your impressive journey of exploring the Cu Chi Tunnels.
