08:00 – 08:30: Pick up by our friendly guide and start exploring Hanoi City.
08:45: Arrive at Tran Quoc Pagoda on Golden Fish Island, West Lake – Hanoi’s oldest pagoda, dating back to the 6th century.
09:30: Visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (if open), stilt house, gardens, and the iconic One Pillar Pagoda.

🕛 Lunch & Afternoon

11:15: Explore the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology and discover the rich traditions of all 54 ethnic groups.

*Note: On Mondays, the Women’s Museum is visited instead.

Lunch: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant with traditional local foods.
14:00 – 14:15: Continue to the Temple of Literature – Vietnam’s first university, built in the 11th century.
15:00: Visit Hoa Lo Prison Museum – former colonial prison and “Hanoi Hilton” for U.S. POWs.

  • Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays.

Essential Travel Tips & Guidelines

  • Dress Code Requirements: Modest attire is strictly enforced when visiting religious and historical sites (Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Temple of Literature, Tran Quoc Pagoda). Shoulders and knees must be fully covered for both men and women.
  • Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Notice: The Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays, as well as during annual maintenance (usually October to November). On these days, visits are conducted from the outside along with surrounding gardens.
  • Museum Schedules: On Mondays, when the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology is closed, the tour typically substitutes the visit with the Women’s Museum or Hoa Lo Prison Relic.
  • Footwear Recommendation: Comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes or sneakers are essential as there will be plenty of walking throughout the day.
  • Sun & Weather Protection: Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and an umbrella or rain jacket during rainy seasons.
